Laurel Odom, Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist
Laurel is a native Northern Californian with a deep love for the natural world & all things health & wellness. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, she moved back to her home region to deepen her studies in the holistic approaches of Ayurveda & Yoga. She has since completed studies & received certifications as a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, Pancha Karma Specialist, Ayurvedic Massage & Body Therapist (including abhyanga massage, shirodhara, svedana, Ayurvedic facials, marma therapy, dough bastis & pinda svedana) from the California College of Ayurveda (CCA) as well as completion of a 500-hour yoga teacher training through Vira Bhava Yoga, a program inspired by the teachings of Sri Vidya Tantra & Para Yoga.
Throughout the past 5 years in the “Ayurvedic world” Laurel has accumulated a wide range of experience in a multitude of different offerings including Ayurvedic cooking, personal one-on-one Ayurvedic consultations, leading guided cleanses, offering body therapies in a retreat setting as well as day therapies, internship supervising for current students & creating herbal remedies & self-care support. She currently works at the CCA as an Intern Supervisor for both the first & second level of internship, at Blue Sage Ayurvedic Sanctuary administering body therapies in a Pancha Karma retreat setting, creating herbal self-care products & offering consultations at PAAVANI Ayurveda & offering personal one-on-one consultations & Ayurvedic body therapies on her own.
The sister sciences of Ayurveda & Yoga have supported Laurel in her continuous journey of transformation, personal healing, increased awareness & self-love. She is incredibly honored to support others in getting to know themselves deeper, love themselves more fully & uncover their ever-present power & purpose.
